We’re proud to be taking part in a unique program organized by Project Better Together. The pandemic means many small businesses in our community and others in the area lost significant business. Some have closed doors, while others are trying hard to continue staying open. With the Holding Our Own Shop Local program, we’re joining others in encouraging people in our community to shop local and support the small businesses in their community!
We’re Better Together!
This is a community-wide program, supported by not only our business, but others in the area, including MidWestOne Bank, Greenstate Credit Union, Hills Bank, West Bank, Great Western Bank, Tow Rivers Bank, Johnson County, and the U.S. Bank and CBI Bank and Trust! The goal of the program is to encourage people to begin shopping and spending their money at local companies, particularly small businesses. We hope to help bring at least a million dollars in local spending to our community, helping those companies impacted by the pandemic!
How Do I Participate?
The program started in June 22nd, and basically for every $150 you spend in a local business, you receive a $20 gift card to a local company or store of your choice! Plus, $5 will be donated to the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and Immigrant Business Grant Fund. To receive your gift card, simply upload up to three receipts and you will then receive a confirmation code via email, instructing you on how to redeem your gift card. You then have a chance to visit another of your favorite spots in the county, and help local stores succeed in light of a pandemic that has closed many across the country. Stop By Today!
Since we’re participating in this program, you can upload receipts from your visit, or receive a gift card to our store when you spend $150 at other participating places in the area! For example, if you do back to school shopping or grocery shopping, just upload those receipts. We’re still open seven days a week and our dining room and patio are ready to receive visitors. You can even try our brand-new Red Bull Infusions, which come in three delicious flavors: Wild Peach, Berry Blast, and Tootsie Roll. If you aren’t comfortable entering a store, we have a drive thru and are available for delivery through apps like Grubhub, Seamless, Chomp, and DoorDash.
